Welcome From the Principal

DeeAnne Miree

Welcome to Cambridge Early Learning Center in Antioch.  We are one of four Early Learning centers in MNPS, a pre-K program catering to early learners in the Cane Ridge community. As a principal it is my goal is to make sure that we give our pre-K students the best start academically and socially to prepare them for their elementary school experience. I also seek to engage our parents and families with the knowledge and skills needed to help support their child at home and throughout their educational career.

I am very proud of our rich traditions and of the educational accomplishments of our students, faculty, and community. At Cambridge, we strive to ensure our children are engaged in an environment focused on high expectations reflecting social and emotional development. We are a multiculturally diverse school that welcomes students from many different ethnicities and languages that include English, Arabic, Spanish, French and many others.

Our youngest learners begin their academic careers surrounded by a highly skilled and dedicated faculty and staff. Our students will be engaged in many opportunities to activate their young minds, and a learning environment that promotes curiosity through play within their daily routines. This speaks to our motto of PANDA: Preparing and Nurturing Diverse Achievers.

Growing student success happens when our teachers and Cambridge ELC families work together. By embracing our culture and values, we can create the most beneficial learning experience for our students. I have seen the amazing collaboration throughout our school especially with our partners in education reflected in our school garden (Plant the Seed) and with our Global Education Music partnership.

I am excited to begin this educational journey with you and your child, as the principal of Cambridge Early Learning Center, and I am grateful for the opportunity to get to know your family this school year.
